A message from the developer
I made this game for myself, for two reasons.
First: I struggle to have an in-depth conversation with a stranger. Rarely do I get more than three sentences in. Giving someone a compliment is a fine way to open, but it never took me anywhere. So I built something better to say: "Hey, I built an app that rewards me for talking to strangers." Then I get to ask an icebreaker, and suddenly we are actually talking. Plus People Bingo, which is literally one of my favorite things on earth.
Second: I love frog wizards and pixel art, and I want everyone to see the things I make without having to pay for them.
There is also a real reason underneath the fun one. Adult friendships are in decline, and the research points at how much of our social life moved onto screens. Only 13% of people have ten close friends, down 20% since the 1990s. This game is my small push in the other direction: connection that happens in real life, with the person in front of you, one slightly awkward and completely worthwhile conversation at a time.
It worked for me. I hope it works for you.
